PARLIAMENT DISSOLVED

ELECTION IN VICTORIA NEXT MONTH DEFEAT OF MINISTRY Reed. 11 a.m. MELBOURNE, Today. The State Governor, Lord Somers, acceded to the Premier’s request for a dissolution of Parliament, subject to the Supply Bill being passed. The House later passed the Supply Bill. Polling day is expected to be on November 30. The State Ministry was defeated in the Legislative Assembly last week on a motion for an adjournment of the House, moved by a Country Progressive Party member, Mr. Glowery, who charged the Ministry with failure to provide adequate relief for settlers, who were suffering great hardships, owing to bad seasons. The voting was 34 to 30.

Subsequently, the Premier. Sir William McPherson, announced that he would ask for a dissolution of Parliament.
