LARGE INCREASE SHOWN IN BENEFITS Continued succes in the John Court, I Ltd.. Staff Insurance and Benevolent j Society was reported to the large at- ! tendance at the annual meeting la>t I evening. Air. H. .J. Court, who presided. apologised for the absence of | Air. John Court, sen., and Mr. A. H. Court. ! The staff was congratulated by t lie chairman on its achievements during the year. There had beci; an increase in turnover and considerable improve - ment in the busines. Another result was the increased bonus allotment to the staff, amounting to just under £6,000. With long-service bonuses reaching £ 3,000 the total was practically £B,OOO, while interest paid into the bonus account of the staff amounted to about £4,000. That acount was ! brought to the extremely creditable total of £54,000. The firm’s subsidy to the .J.C.E. InI surance and Benevolent Society was £1,072, to th t, £227; to the library account. £BS: and donui tions to charities were £I.OOO. j The annual staff picnic will beheld I on March 1 and a steamer has been j engaged by the firm. j Miss H. Hurley, who recently re--1 turned from a two years’ buying trip abroad, was welcomed. j evening.
