ROTORUA ENTERTAINED

AUCKLAND ORPHANS’ VISIT

From Our Own Correspondent ROTORUA, Tuesday. , The Majestic Theatre was filled on Sunday evening, when a concert was given by the Auckland Orphans' Club Orchestra, under the baton of Mr. Harold Baxter. Many were unable to gain admission. The concert was a great success, everyone agreeing it was the best Rotorua had had for many years. The Mayor, Mr. I. Jackson, and Mi‘. W. Hall thanked the Auckland Orphans’ Club for all it had done. As a result of the concert, and the generosity of Mr. A. McDermott, the sum of £ 64 14s is available for various charities.
