Dr. Makßill returned to Auckland this morning. The Rev. Lionel Fletcher returned from Dunedin today. Mr. Justice Smith left by train last evening for "Wellington. Dr. K. Milsom was a passenger for Wellington by train last evening. Mr. Justice Frazer was a passenger to Frankton by the Limited this morning. Mr. E. C. Turner, of Turner and Growers. Limited, returned by the Limited this morning. Mr. G. S. Lynde. chief mechanical engineer of the Mew Zealand railways, returned to Wellington last evening. Mr. J. P. Kalaugher. secretary of the New Zealand Friesian Association, arrived back at Auckland this morning. Mr. J. W. Clarke, manager of the Government Tourist Office at Auckland. returned from Wellington this morning. Captain P. J. Foster, marine superintendent for the Union Steam Ship cdhipany, arrived from "Wellington yesterday, and is staying at Hotel Cargen. Mr. W. Sampson, of Waipipi, near Waiuku. has been appointed clerk to the Waiuku Town Board. There were 54 applicants. Mi'. Sampson had previously served for 15 years with the Southland Education Board. Lord Baden-Powell, the Chief Scout, will sail for New Zealand via Panama early in 1931. He will spend March and April in the Dominion (says a United Service cable message), and well then go to Australia. Lady Baden-Powell will accompany him. HOTEL REGISTER Cargen.—Mr. R. P.
