OFFENCE AT NAPIER Press Association NAPIER, Tuesday. . Michael Lipinski. a canvasser on j commission for an Auckland art union, | was sentenced by Mr. A. M. Mowlem, j S.M., this morning to one month’s imprisonment on a charge of assaulting • two girls, aged 12 years. Accused’s counsel pleaded that it j was merely a technical offence, but | the magistrate remarked that accused i had a number of previous convictions. mostly for theft, and he thought the j present case bore a sinister aspect.
