DESERTING HUSBAND

WIFE GRANTED DIVORCE After 11 years’ married life, Alfred Leonard Shergold left home, leaving a note to explain his departure, according to his wife, Martha Margaret Shergold (Mr. Dickson), who sought dissolution of .her marriage on the grounds of desertion in the Supreme Court today. Petitioner was married on March 12, 1915, and had one child. Her husband left home on February 23, 1926, leaving a note on the table. She had not seen him since, and although she had issued a warrant for his arrest on a maintenance order, it had never been executed.

A decree nisi was granted, to be made absolute in three months. Custody of the child was granted to petitioner.
