GRAND AND LYRIC
“PARISIENNES” Two talented players who are new to local audiences are seen at the Grand and Lyric Theatres, in “Parisiennes,” a Swedish production, which is being released by Cinema Art Films. The players concerned are Miles Mander, who is of the Menjou type, and Margit Manstad, who has been acclaimed as being the Clara Bow of Europe. Mander plays the successful part of a playwright who Is in love with an actress, who in a fit of pique marries a young doctor. The marriage is an unhappy one, and complications arise out of the actress’s sister loving the doctor. Finally things are brought to a crisis, and the story gives way to a happy ending. Margit Manstad is seen as the actress, while the supporting roles are taken by Louis Lerch and Ruth Weyher. “My Friend From India,” the second attraction on both programmes. Is a comedy drama of Anglo-Indian life starring Elinor Fair and Franklyn Pangborn.
