HOSPITAL BOARD VACANCY

FRANKLIN NOMINATIONS Three nominations have been received for the vacancy on the Auckland Hospital Board, caused by the death of Mr. J. D. Chalmers, of Waiuku. At its meeting on Monday evening the Pukekohe Borough Council unanimously decided to nominate one of its members, Mr. G. T. Parvin, the deputy mayor. It was agreed to ask the Franklin County Council to select a date on which the four constituent local bodice in the district could meet to appoint a representative. The county council has nominated its member for the Waiuku Riding, Mr. H. P. Garland, of Aka Aka, and the Tuakau Town Board has chosen its clerk Mr. A. H. Tapper.
