BRITISH PARLIAMENT
TO REASSEMBLE NEXT TUESDAY FORECAST OF BUSINESS British Official Wireless RUGBY, Sunday. The British Parliament will reassemble on Tuesday, October 29. In the absence of the Prime Minister. Mr. MacDonald, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Philip Snowden, w’ill act as leader of the House of Commons. The Prime Minister will arrive in London a few' days after the House meets. As the sittings which are to commence next week will be a continuation of the session begun last July, both Houses will resume the tasks interrupted by the summer vacation without any ceremonial or formalities.
Many domestic measures, including the Widows’ Pensions Bill and the Mining Industry Bill, will be debated before Christmas. There will be discussions in the House of Commons on several important items of foreign policy, including the proposed resumption of full diplomatic relations with Russia, the disarmament policy, reparation and the optional clause of the Court of International Justice.
