REAL TREASURE HUNT

SCOUT FINDS CACHE OF GOLD ACCIDENTAL DISCOVERY SYDNEY, Sunday. There was an unexpectedly realistic denouement to a Boy Scouts’ “treasure hunt” game near the Taronga Park Zoo yesterday. At a point where the soil was worn by the weather a hoy noticed the bright glint of metal. An examination disclosed a shining receptacle containing about £3OO in sovereigns and half-sovereigns, which are thought to have been buried 10 or 15 years ago, probably as the result of some robbery. The search was part of a Scout troop's training in resource and perception.
