END OF SEASON DANCE
>ORTH DEVONPORT’S MERRY EVENING The North Dcvonport Residents’ and Ratepayers’ Association ended its scries of old-time dances in the Foresters’ Rail on Saturday evening with a o-ood attendance and merry dancing. The association has in mind the development of the social side of its activities as well as the political side, and its series of old-time dances were very successful during the winter. The committee responsible for the success of the entertainment was:—Mesdames Clark, Parry, Morgan, Ewington, Misses G. Smith, Morgan, Stephens, Messrs. Knowles, Clark, Ewington and King. Music was in the hands of hartley’s Orchestra. Among those present were: Mrs. S. Clark, who wore floral silk; Mrs. j. Heldt, navy crepo do chine; Mrs. Tingle, striped silk; Mrs. T. Bartley, amethyst taffeta and silver; Mrs. Oswald, navy ring velvet; Mrs. F. Bartley, black charmeuse; Mrs. Bartley, sen., terracotta embossed satin; Mrs. Parry, shell pink 7iet; Mrs. Houghton, sea green crepe de chine, with siver overdress; Mrs. J. Hunt, -wine crepe de chine and silver trimming; Mrs. Kitchingrnam, eau de nil satin and net overdress; Mrs. F. Lockwood, primrose satin beaute; Mrs. J. Hull, apricot georgette and gold lace; Mrs. J. Grey, leaf green beaded georgette; Miss P. Blenharne, capucine georgette and shawl; Mrs. Raterson. cream crepe de chine. Mrs. Reynolds was in fawn lace frock of georgette, and posy; Mrs. Oliver, beige ]ace over rayon; Airs. David Davies, satin beaute, with sequined lace overdress; Mrs. Harris, navy- blue milanese silk; Mrs. A. Follett, black satin; Mrs. J. Lord, flesh charmeuse and silver lace; Mrs. Gamers, rose and blue crepe de chine; Mrs. Donald McGregor, green satin de luxe and gold lace; Mrs. Barratt, dove ninon; Mrs. Black, peach crepe de chine; Mrs*. Newman, black crepe de chine; Mrs. E. Pratt, midnight blue crepe de chine rind gold lace; Airs.
