Dancers Motor to Dixieland
LATEST DANCE TUNES GAY ASSEMBLAGE Many dancers motored out to Point Chevalier on Saturday evening: and spent a happy time at Dixieland. Mr. Harry Xeilson and the Dixieland Orchestra provided an excellent programme of the newest dance tunes. AMONG THE DANCERS Mrs. Regers. Melbourne, had on a blank georgette gown embroidered with crystal beads. Mrs. Hurst had on a smart gown of cherry net. with frilled taffeta skirt. Mrs. Baker-Cress well had on a gown of ombre ninon in pastel shades. Mrs. Eldon Napier’s gown of cameo pink georgette was worn with a lace overdress. Mrs. Ernest Alison chose a becoming gown of copper-coloured lace. Mrs. Albert Neville was in a saracen red and silver brocaded metal cloth gown, with lace overskirt. Miss Jocelyn Bloomfield wore a pretty frock of ivorv flowered ninon. Miss Lesley Waller’s black georgette gown was smartly relieved with brilliants. A striking gown of Chinese red lace was worn by Miss Nancy Colbeck. Miss Joan Robertson’s frock was of leaf green flowered chiffon and lace. \ Miss Rona Katterfeldt was in a poinsettia red lace frock, with dipping hemline. Miss Connie Wallace had on rose and silver lace, with shoulder spray of flowers. Printemps green and silver embossed lame was worn by Miss Nina Wallace. Miss Germaine Van Osselaer had on a dainty frock of phlox pink chiffon. A shoulder trail of natural flowers added distinction to the honey-coloured taffeta gown chosen by Miss Marion Macfa rlane. Miss Marjorie MncFnrlane had on a graceful frock of flowered ninon. Miss Dolly Vaile was in a chic frock of unrelieved black crepe de soie. Miss Freda Gaudin’s frock was of ivory satin beaute with bouffant overskirt of tulle. Miss Nell Batey had on an unevenlength frock of printemps green chiffon and tulle. Miss Tinker Jackson was wearing moon-mist blue georgette and lace. Miss Kathleen Dowling's frock was of apple green sprigged taffeta. A bouffant frock of sunset pink taffeta was chosen by Miss Lorna Mcßae. A black ring velvet gown. diamente trimmed, was worn by Miss Orinan. Miss Thelma Ogilvie had pinned a spray of pink flowers to the corsage of her cream lace gown. Miss Olive Biekerton wore a becoming frock of powder blue georgette and gold la Miss Olga McDuff was in a smart black 1 * Marjorie Cerutty’s black georgette gown was* diamente trimmed. Miss Molly Bailey had on a gold sequined gown. Miss Snoad’s frock of pomnadour pink georgette dipped to the an!*es at the back. . . , Miss Marjorie Suter was m ivory and green flowered ninon. Miss L. Ballantyne had on an ivory chiffon frock embroidered with silver beads. Miss Audrey Walton was wearing new green chiffon cleverly combined with gold lace. A smart frock of sage green and black beaded georgette was worn by Miss J. Wallace.
Miss Swanson's gown of black georgette was embroidered with silver beads. Miss Isobel McGinley was in a blackbeaded chiffon frock.
Miss Doris Tills was wearing a becoming frock of water-nymph green georgette.
