GRAND AND LYRIC
“PARISIENNES” Universally appealing: in its entertainment. "Parisiennes,” the feature at the Grand and Lyric Theatres this week. lias been the subject of much talk among the local movie tans. It is the story ot' the matrimonial difficulties of a young couple, who are unsuited to one another, and how through many strange circumstances, the Puzzle is solved and another couple are made happy. The leading roles are cleverly portrayed by Miles Manner, Margit Manstad, Kuth Weyher and Louis Lerch. who are comparatively newcomers to Auckland picture screens. “My Friend From India.” another Powerful drama, is the second feature. Elinor Fare and Franklyn Fanghorn are the stars. CHILDREN’S FANCY DRESS BALL A children’s fancy dress ball, arranged under of the Good Shepherd Convent School. Dominion ftoad, will be held in the Scots Hall on Wednesday next. The children will dance from 745 until 9.15 and the adults until 11 p.m. Miss Daphne knight will be the judge of the costumes.
