There is much curiosity and some uneasiness about the Government’s attitude toward publicity; but it is believed that nothing is likely to be done until the Minister comes to England.
FAITH IN LABOUR

Balllieu, of Melbourne, former Leader of the Victorian Legislative Council, said:—“lt has been suggested to me here that bankers will fear that industry will be disturbed. The suspicion arises from a wrong idea. “Two things are certain. The Labour Party will put a lot of drive into the development of the country and the secondary industries, and will seek a safe line of finance. The City of London has accepted Mr. MacDonald’s Government with complete equanimity, and I feel sure the cities of New York and London can, with equal confidence, accept a Labour Administration in Australia.”
