ELSIE WALKER CASE At a meeting of the Auckland Women’s Branch of the New Zealand Labour Party last evening the following resolution was passed unanimously, “That this branch urges the Minister of Justice, the Hon. T. Wilford, to make immediately an alteration in the law, if such be necessary, to facilitate the reopening of the Elsie Walker case and similar cases, and also that he request the Police to pursue further investigations in order to clean up what appears to have been a dastardly crime.” A speaker was appointed to represent tbe branch at a public meeting to be held in connection with this case on Wednesday next.
