THE trip to Whangarei by steamer is annually becoming more popular with owners, trainers and the sporting public, and in Zm - order to give those desirous of the Northland Trotting Club’s fixture on Saturday the ** advantage of a convenient service, the Northern Steamship Company has arranged for the Clansman to leave Auckland at 10 p.m. on Friday n.ght for Whangarei. The return journey will commence from Onerahi at 8 p.m. on Saturday night and a motor service will connect with the steamer from either the racecourse or town.
