SIX WEEKS OF BANQUETS
AMERICANS’ ENDURANCE RECORD HECTIC TOUR OF EUROPE Australian and N.Z. Press Association Reed. 1.20 p.m. LONDON, Monday. Forty-nine banquets in 42 days is the endurance record of a party of 40 American tourist agents who are visiting Europe for the first time. ‘ It has been a hectic experience, they say. Every country desirous of tourists set out to give the agents the best of good times, the climax of the tour being a- banquet by the British Government at Lancaster House tonight, in of the “Come to Britain” movement. Henceforth, the agents will be able to speak from personal experience when they are recommending trips to clients. The visitors say:—“We are just tickled to. death by London. We have not seen anything to equal it for variety and interest. -As for the English Countryside, it is just great.” Imperial Airways, anxious to be in the programme, are flying some of the delegates free across the Channel.
