Aliss Alarjorie Alegson was in orange satin grenadine, with flared skirt and shoulder spray in contrasting colours; Miss R. Thomson, flame taffeta and silver lace; Aliss Nell Penman, turquoise blue georgette; Aliss Leonie Jeffrey, lettuce green georgette, with pink posy; Aliss Elsa Boesen, flame velvet, with shawl to tone; Miss F. Henderson, black georgette frock; Miss N. Penman, green taffeta and georgette, with pink shawl; Aliss Joan Daniels, rose crepe de chine; Miss D. Hislop. tangerine georgette and black shawl; Aliss Jean Thomson, maize crepe de chine; Aliss Thelma Farrelly. green georgette frock; Aliss B. Hunt, red chiffon, with yellow shoulder posy. MUSICAL EVENING CHOIR MEMBERS ENTERTAINED AT BIRKENHEAD A very enjoyable time was spent on Saturday, when Air. and Airs. J. Wright gave a social to members of the Birkenhead Alethodist Choir, at their residence. Kauri Glen Road, Birkenhead. The evening was spent in games, and community singing items, an enjoyable programme being contributed to by Aliss Audrey Boyle, songs: Aliss Ala vis Hewson and Air. Noel Hosking, pianoforte solos; a trio was given by Air. Wright, Airs. AVright and Alisa Hewson; recitations by Mr. R. Hoggard, and a humorous reading by Mr, W. Wilson were greatly appreciated.
The hostess, Airs. E. W right, received her guests wearing a frock of gold satin relieved with bronze lace. Other also present included: Airs. W. Edmonds, who wore black chiffon velvet witli gold feather trimmings; Aliss D. Wright, in black ring velvet relieved with rose posy; ATiss Joan Wright, wearing lemon georgette relieved with lace and posy to match; Miss AI. Hewson, who chose air force blue ring velvet; Aliss V. Clow, in a frock of black crepe de chine and coffee lace; Miss O. Clow, wearing amethyst chiffon velvet, with uneven hemline: Miss A. Boyle, blue shot taffeta with uneven hem; Aliss A. Berry, Team crepe de chine and georgette; ATiss G. Hewson, eau de nil green georgette with handkerchief frilled skirt; Aliss C. Berry, in a frock of salmon georgette with silver trimmings.
