Club Evening

LYCEUM ENTERTAINMENT COMMITTEE ORGANISES BRIGHT PROGRAMME i HAMILTON FUNCTION On Thursday z most enjoyable evening was arranged by the entertainment committee of the Hamilton Lyceum Club. The lounge room was lilled with j members, all of whom had a very inj teresting time. The ladies who pro- | vided a line musical programme I were; i Mrs. H. Ferguson and Mrs. Sinclair, | who played an opening duet; Mrs. A. j English and Miss N. Valder, who gave i pidnoforto solos; Mrs. Bouillon. Mrs. C. | Bennett and Mrs. Farquhar, who sang several songs. Mrs. Linder and Mrs. Bullock also delighted the audience by their clever elocutionary items. Later an original play was given by Mrs. W. H. Stevens, a member of the club. *‘Ne\v Brooms For Old” was read by Mrs. Prenton, Mrs. F. Bullock, Mrs. Sinclair Arthur and Miss Alison Scott. At the conclusion of the programme, Mrs. F. Jolly, president of the club, who had introduced the performers, thanked them all for the great enjoyment they had given. Supper and a friendly chat brought the bright evening to a close.
