LIDO LADIES

Sir, —• That entertaining article in The Sun about low-backed bathing costumes raises an interesting point. The writer, obviously an authority on his subject, sees an excellent reason for a backward d£colletage. This matter of, shall we say, piebald effect, on necks and shoulders, and consequent embarrassment in the ballroom, can be remedied in two ways: (1) By baring more of the back on the sands; (2) by covering more of the back at the dance. CYNICAL SIMON.
