DISMISSAL OF APPEAL

Dismissal of the appeal by Lawrence Schmidt, a young Turns, farmhand, against the decision of Mr. F. W. Platts, S.M., at Thames, adjudging him father of the child of Gertrude Elvin, and- ordering Ijim to pay 15s weekly as maintenance, followed the abandonment of appellant’s case in the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon. Mr. Singer, for appellant, said he did not feel justified, in view of ' the evidence, in proceeding, and Mr. Justice Smith concurred that this was the correct attitude. The appeal was dismissed with i costs against appellant.
