SCHEME FOR REGULATION DIFFERENCES OF OPINION (From Our Resident Reporter) WELLINGTON, Today. I Differences of opinion between slice* : breeders seem likely to endanger tin ' proposed scheme for regulation o: export of sheep from the Dominion, j Designed originally to maintain th< prestige of the Dominion as a sourcv ; of supply of stud sheep, the schem; | proposed inspection and registrarioi lof export sheep before they were | permitted to leave the country. Fees ! for the inspection were proposed a | one stage to be divided between tin ! Royal Society and the Breeders I Society concerned, as two inspectors i would act in each instance, j Following further negotiations diffi i culties developed over the scheme auc j now the Royal Society has decider to withdraw and leave the breeders | societies to make their own arrange ! ments. A conference is to take place j with . the Director of Agriculture (Dr. C. J. Reakes) and on the fate ol this conference, it is anticipated largely depends the future of the scheme.
