OCCUPIER’S HURRIED ESCAPE From Our Oven Correspondent NEW PLYMOUTH, Today. A house at Tariki, six miles from Inglewood, was burned down early on Sunday morning. When the occupier, Mr. J. Hucker, awoke, flames were licking round his bed, and he bad only just time to escape through the window. He was unable to save any of his possessions. The house was owned by Mr. E. Mahon. Mr. Huclsers’s effects were insured for £2OO.
