Newton, in “Clear t!uDecks.” Reginald Denny’s first talko Dennv is supported by a strong ca. K i in which Oiive Hasbrouck plays the feminine lead and Lucien Llttlefielri and Otis Harlan have the chief supporting roles. The picture was adapted from tlu popular novel, When the Devil TSas Sick,” and one of Hollywood s comedy wizards directed the film. 1 demonstrates in this comedy that his long training on the stage fitted him » to be an ideal talkie star. The programme also includes “The j Viking, ’ a film made entirely in j colour, and a number of really excelj lent shorter talkies.
