BAPTIST CONFERENCE

There will be delegates present from all parts of New Zealand when the 47th annual conference of the Baptist Union opens in the Tabernacle, Upper Queen Street, tomorrow. The conference will continue until Thursday, October 17. Tomorrow will be given over largely to committee meetings, with two short addresses by visitors in tlie evening. The programme for the session includes talks by missionaries and union officials as well as special services for Bible Class members and Sunday School scholars. A visit will be paJd one day to the Manurewa Children’s Home. Three concerts will be given by combined choirs.
