THAMES The senior and junior mile championship of the Thames High School were run on the racecourse at Parawai on Saturday afternoon. The senior i ace carries with it the Rudman Cup, and to the junior event goes the Morrissey Cup. Results: Seniors. —R. Strong 1, W. Eangdon 2, S. Goodwin 3. Time, smin 25 4-5 fciec. The winner also won the two and a-half mile road race last week. Juniors. —H. Walder 1, A. Mead 2, Cr. Allen 3. Time. smin 45sec. Walder was successful in the junior two miler ran a week ago. Cycling TAUMARUNUI Over a ten and a-half mile course the Taumarunui Cycling Club’s race on Saturday resulted: —Manunul (300 s), 30m 3ds. 1; Mahu (300 s), 30m 40s. 2: J. Frederickson (120 s), 32m 4s, 3. Moore (scr.), secured fastest time, 28m 375.
