From Our Oxen Correspondent NGARUAWAHIA, Today. Tho opening of the Ngaruawahia fiowlingr Club greens for the season on Saturday was t very successful funcli°n. nnd 11 outside'clubs were ropre"er‘ted. The opening snoeeh was made '•V the president. Mr. .1. Birkett. Mrs. i’irkou threw up the kitty, and rolled th <> first bowl. Mr. Birkett also declared the croquet lawn open for the and Mrs. Fuller played the ball through the hoop. Mr. R. Pilkington, representing the M?uth Auckland Centre, in addressing ate bowlers, said the centre desired as titany howlers as possible to visit Auckland for the Hardley Shield match, jnd to take part in the .tour round the Bav of Plenty.
