NEW PLUNKET WORK
OLDER CHILDREN TO BE CARED FOR SIR TRUBY KING RETURNS At the annual conference of the Council of the Plunket Society held in Wellington recently, it was stated that the society hoped to extend its work to provide for the care of older children. Sir Truby King, who returned from Australia by the Maunganui today, was asked what the society proposed doing to increase the amount of attention to be given to children between infancy and school age. This, he said, had always been part of the duty of the Plunket nurses, but it was the intention of the societj" to do more, especially if further funds were available for increasing tho number of nurses. Sir Trilby has been attending the medical conference In Sydney, but he stayed on to attend to certain matters affecting the Plunket Society in Australia. Considerable advance has been made, especially in Melbourne, to the Tweddle Hospital at Footscray, which is the Karitane Hospital there. In Sydney considerable additions have been made to the Karitane Hospital at Woolala.
