SALVAGE MEN STRIKE
SHORTAGE OF FOOD GIVEN AS REASON STRANDED GERMAN SHIP Australian and N.Z. Press Association Reed. 10.15 a_m. COLOMBO, Sun. The salvage men oil tho Hercules have refused to work at the salvage of the German steamer Hochst liecause of a shortage of food. The German ship Hanan sailed to assist yesterday with provisions and heavy hawsers. If today's operations fail, the Hochst will probably be abandoned.
