NEW SOUTH WALES TOWN ALARMED

HOUSES SHAKEN FOR MILES SYDNEY, Sunday. An earthquake which shook the houses for miles around was felt at Coff’s Harbour yesterday morning. It was accompanied by a rumbling noise. Many people were alarmed, but no damage has been reported. The instruments at the Riverview Observatory did not record the disturbance Coff’s Harbour is the centre of a chiefly agricultural district and Is situated on the coast 270 miles north of Sydney. The town has stores, hotels, schools and a bank.
