Dr. Gustav ■St resemanil’s funeral. Throughout the night, the body remained at the Reichstag, where the masses of flowers overflowed into the corridors and lobbies. In the morning, a special session of the Reichstag was attended by the Foreign Minister’s family, President Hindenburg, and diplomatic representatives. The Chancellor, Dr. Hermann Mueller, delivered the memorial address. He was obviously labouring under difficulties, and had barely recovered from a serious illness. He declared that the whole world was mourning one of its best sons. The body was carried on the shoulders of Foreign Office oflicials to an open coach hearse. The widow and sons followed, then President Hindenburg and State officials. The procession halted for two minutes at the Foreign Office, where the public ceremony ended. President Hindenburg and the dlplo matic representatives left the procession. Among the wreaths were one from King George and one from the exCrown Prince Wilhelm. The actual interment was in the suburban cemetery where Dr. Stresemanu’s parents were buried.
