AIR TOUR OF BRITAIN

COBHAM COMPLETES LONG TRIP 21 WEEKS OF FLYING British Official 'Wireless Reed. 11 a.in. RUGBY, Sunday. Sir Alan Cobham will return to London tomorrow on the completion of his 21 weeks’ tour of the British Isles. The purpose of the tour was to stimulate interest in flying, and in particular to press forward the idea of municipal airdromes. He is confident that by the end of 1930 there will be a chain of 100 airdromes and landinggrounds over the British Isles. During hia tour he has visited 100 towns and has taken 40,000 people, including 10,000 children, for flights.
