ARRESTED ON RETURN FROM N.Z. 17 YEARS IN DOMINION (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) Australian and N.Z. Press Association (United Service) Reed. 10 a.m. LONDON, Friday. After 17 years in New Zealand, Abraliam Black, aged 65, returned to Leeds, and instantly was arrested for non-payment of £3OO arrears for his wife's maintenance. He admitted that he had migrated because he was “fed up*’ with his wife’s friendship for other men. He landed in New Zealand penniless, and worked for two years feeding pigs, in return for his keep. He was given £7 10s when he left his job. He had had long illnesses. The magistrate ordered him to pay the arrears, or spend three months in gaol.
