£4,000 FOR GIRL YOUNG FRIEND REWARDED From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Thursday. Similar in many respects to the story from Gisborne of the old man who left a young girl £2,000 is one concerning a Hamilton girl. A little girl, aged three years, the daughter of a Hamilton resident, was visiting Auckand 13 years ago, when she met Mr. W. B. Garmichael, a newsprint merchant, of Sydney. He took a great fancy to the child, and always went to see her when he came to New Zealand. They exchanged letters and photographs for some years.
