VICTIM OF HIMATANGI FIRE BEQUEST FOR SALVATIONISTS Press Association PALMERSTON X., Today'. Although it has been stated that the Salvation Army was a large beneficiary under the will of the late John Brown Westlake, one of the victims of the Himatangi fire, the Army authorities, it was learned today, have received no official intimation of any such bequest. It is, however, understood that the Armv will benefit under the will, but to what extent is unknown. The gross value of the estate is said lo be in the neighbourhood of £40,000 *nd after provision has been made for members of the family, the residue, it is understood, has been left to the Army for the establishment, improvement or maintenance of a home or for orphans in New Zealand.
