CONFERENCE IN AUCKLAND MANY DELEGATES EXPECTED About IGO delegates from all parts of the Dominion are expected to attend the 47 th annual, conference of the New Zealand Baptist Union, which will open on Wednesday in the Auckland Baptist Tabernacle, and will continue until Thursday, October 17. Mr. S. Barry, president, will be in the chair. Committee meetings will be held on tho opening day, followed by a welcome, tea given to delegates, with further meetings in the evening. The annual reports will be considered on Thursday and at the evening session the new president, the Rev. Joseph AV. Kemp, will speak on “Revival and Evangelism.” Talks will be given by missionaries on Friday, when the church’s missionary activities will be discussed. On Saturday' morning a ministers’ meeting will be held, and in the afternoon a visit will be paid to the Manurewa Home. A musical festival will be provided by the Tabernacle. Choir of 120 voices in the evening. There are to be special services at all Baptist churches on Sunday and a united Bible Class rally in the Tabernacle in the afternoon. The election of committees and a study of the work of the New Zealand Baptist College will occupy Monday. A public meeting on Tuesday, "Young People’s Day,” will be conducted by the Rev. L. B. Busfield and Miss Jennie Street. The annual report and budget will be discussed on Wednesday and the following day will see the final sessions. The combined choirs of the Auckland Baptist Churches will present a musical programme on Thursday evening. Meetings will also be held by the New Zealand Baptist Women’s Missionary Union on the opening day and on the last two days of the conference.
