SIR ROBERT STOUT MEETS OLD FRIENDS A large number of friends attended an “At Home” held by Lady Stout, of "Wellington, on Saturday, in honour of Sir Robert Stout’s eighty-sixth birthday. Lady Stout, who wore grey georgette with ostrich feather necklet, and carried a bouquet of pink roses, was assisted in receiving her guests by Airs. Trevor Holmden, of Auckland. Afternoon tea was served in the dining-room, where the birthday cake, with its 86 tiny rose-coloured candles, occupied the place of honour. Among those present were: The Hon. M. Myers and Airs. Myers, Air. Justice Adams, Air. Justice Ostler, Air. Justice and Airs. Smith, the Hon. J. A. Hanan a.nd Airs. Hanan. Aliss H. Williams (Dunedin), Sir Walter Stringer and Lady Stringer, Dr. Campbell. Sir Henry Buckleton and Lady Buckleton, Air. J. Stout and Air. Olaf Stout.
