£6,000 WAS THE SUM DEMANDED by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at. the Police Court before he would grant the release on bail of the man arrested at Helensville last week as A. B. Crouch. The accused, who is known to the townspeople as John Grey, is the central figure in the picture. He was again remanded this morning on a charge of being a fugitive from justice, being wanted in Texas, U.S.A., on a 13-years-old forgery charge involving over 200,000 dollars.
