TALKIES FOR MORRINSVILLE

The talkie set to be installed at the Regent Theatre, Morrinsville, arrived during the week-end and engineers are occupied in wiring the theatre and assembling the plant. The set Is of the Pacent type and is the first of its kind to be installed In New Zealand. It is stated to have achieved great popularity in the United States and to be used exclusively by the great Warner circuit. A ‘‘non-synchronous” set, which will be used for dance and other music, is also being installed. It is expected that the first showing of the “talkies” will be on Saturday evening.
