HOUSE ROBBED IN OWNER’S ABSENCE TWO YEARS’ PROBATION Press Association NAPIER, Monday. A young married woman, whose name was suppressed, was charged belore Mr. A. M. Mowlem, S.M., today, with the theft of frocks, bed linen, towels, and underclothing from a house at Dannevirke. Shortly before her marriage, accused obtained possession of the keys of the house, during the owner’s absence, and visited the place, taking various articles. She admitted the theft, and ih© police recovered the stolen goods. Some of them had been altered, and the owner to take them back. The magistrate' accepted her husband’s proposal to pay £l2 in restitution for the goods altered, and accused was admitted to probation for two years.
