BRITISH COAL INDUSTRY
OUTPUT AND MARKETING PROPOSALS British Official Wireless RUGBY, Saturday. At a meeting of the Central Coal Marketing Committee yesterday the observations o£ the district branches upon the draft proposals for the coordination of schemes for regulating the output and sale o£ coal were considered. It was found that the draft generally was approved in principle. It now remains to give further consideration to certain points which have arisen from the examination of the proposals in the various districts. Another meeting of the committee will be held at an early date. It is anticipated that the district organisations then will be in a position formally to signify their adhesion to the scheme. It is understood that officials of the Miners’ Federation will have a further consultation with the sub-committee of the Cabinet on the nature of organisational changes in the industry to which the Government intends to give legislative effect this winter.
