HAWAII EARTHQUAKE
STREET OF HILO RFC IK APART TERROR-STRICKEN PEOPLE Australian and "N.Z. Press Association NEW YORK, Saturday. Despatches from Hilo, on the east coast of Hawaii, state that an earthquake rocked the entire town this morning. One of the main streets was ripped apart in two places. A Roman Catholic church was moved on its foundations and marred by a dozen cracks. This was the first shock felt at Hilo of a series which has kept the people in the Kona district on the western side of the island terror-stricken since Monday night. The shocks were caused by movements of lava within the crateTs of the volcanoes Mauna Loa, Kilauea and Hualalai.
