“SINS OF THE FATHERS” , The celebrated German actor. Krail ! Jannings, appears at his best in “Sins . of the Fathers,” the sound-synchron-ised production which will be shown at ; the Crystal Palace Theatre from this ! evening. i Jannings, who is seen as a GermanAmerican waiter in a fashionable restaurant, is supported by a large cast, including Ruth Chatterton. who takes the role of a beautiful adventuress, Zasu Pitts, the well-known tragedienne, and other players of note. The film deals with the career of Wilhelm Spengler, a waiter. whose domestic happiness is ruined by Gretta, an unprincipled beauty. Jannings makes most of his latest role, and the film should attract large audiences. A full supporting programme is screened.
