MR. DE VALERA AGAIN

In a speech at Enfield, Mr. De Valera announced that the Fianna Fail would repudiate payments to England under the land annuities arrangement. “We are determined that this money, equal to 4s lOd in the £ in Irish revenue, will not leave the country. When we have the majority which we believe is ours as a right, we mean to stick to it.” He added that he would not make such a statement without excellent legal advice. The sum of £2,000,000 would provide for the derating of farmers.
