Air Swan’s version of the brusque, irascible but great-hearted Mattha inghs is superb. Miss Leighton as ! Jean Lowther, around whose intricate matrimonial problems the story revolves, is charming. But it IS the sparkling repartee, the delightful nit ticisms and the provocative aus ot Hita MacCulluy as Flora McGilp that cantures every heart. Bettv Budge, Hugh Menzies Margaret Howie’ —all deserve the highest Sr-iise. Colour, tone and effect were faultless, and the whole periormance is one that will be long remembered.
