TO BE CENTRE OF WORLD COMMERCE ROBERT DOLLAR’S VIEWS (Australian and y.Z. Press Association) Reed. Noon. VANCOUVER, Tuesday. Captain Robert Dollar, Pacific Coast shipping dean and owner of the Dollar Steamship Lines, interviewed today, declared that in a few years the centre of the world’s commerce will be the Pacific. He said that Western Canada must start now to lay the foundation and should start manufacturing raw materials to get them across the ocean. Even today the Pacific Ocean is increasing its commerce so fast it is hard to keep track of it all. He advocated cheap cable communication between business interests on all sides of the Pacfic.
