Y.M.C.A. GYMNASTIC DISPLAY
The big gymnastic display arranged annually by the Y.M.C.A. will be held m the Scots Hall tomorrow evening This annual display is a unique entertainment, comprising high-class gymnastics, physical culture, calisthenics, tumbling acrobatics, and folk dancing by, in all, some hundreds of young people, including members of the Y.M.C.A. gymnasium, Mount Albert Y.W.C.A., Takapuna and Devonport gym. clubs. Lenore Clric, celebrated star of the speaking stage, has signed a contract to do talking pictures with Fox Films Corporation, which thereby scored another coup in its current campaign of acquiring Broadway notables for the audible screen. Miss TJlric is at present appearing in “Mima” under the management of David Belasco, who has been her mentor during most of her metropolitan stage career. She is due to leave soon for Hollywood to play in Fox Movietone features.
