CONFERENCE NEXT MONTH The membership of the New Zealand branch of the Australasian Institute of Secretaries now totals 150. This was announced at the annual meeting which was held yesterday. The retiring- president. Mr. G. O’Halloran, commented on the‘healthy state of the finances of the institute and of the New Zealand branch in particular. Advice had been received from the Australasian president that the biennial conference of the institute, at which every ?tate in Australia would be represented, would be held in Auckland from November IS to November 22. Mr. G. \V. Hutchison was elected president of the branch for the ensuing year, Mr. A. E. Bollard and Mr. .r. A. Duncan, vice-presidents, and Mr. T. E. Whitten treasurer.
