DOMINION DAY
MR. BAVIN ENTERTAINED AT LUNCHEON PROGRESS OF NEW ZEALAND SYDNEY, Monday. The New Zealand Association in New South Wales celebrated Dominion Day by tendering a luncheon to the Premier, Mr. T. R. Bavin, who is a New Zealander, and the Consular Corps. The president, Dr. Purdy, proposed the toast of the Dominion. To this the New Zealand Government agent, Mr. W. R. Blow, responded. He gave a few facts illustrative of the wonderful progress made by New Zealand since her first colonisation days. Mr. Bavin and Sir H-enrj' Braddou also spoke eulogistically about the Dominion. They urged more frequent interchanges of visits and ideas between the people of the two countries.
