MACDONALD’S PARTY
TWO SECRETARIES AND LORD ARNOLD VISIT TO UNITED STATES British Official Wireless Reed. 10.42 a.m. RUGBY, Monday. Cabinet has been summoned for Wednesday. It is expected that it will he in session, practically the whole day, in view of the fact that-Mr. Ramsay MacDonald leaves on Friday night for Southampton, to board the Berengaria for America. The Prime Minister will be away from England for about four weeks. The personnel of the Prime Minister’s party has not yet been finally completed, but in addition to Miss Ishbel MacDonald, it will include Lord Arnold, Sir Robert Vansittart, the Prime Minister's principal private secretary, Miss Rosenberg, his personal private secretary, and Mr. Craigie, head of the American Department of the Foreign Office. Lord Arnold is a close personal friend of the Prime Minister. He holds the office of Paymaster-General, but his few departmental duties enable him to take a large share of the general work of the Government.
